A Night at the Atomic

Last Friday, I had the privilege of spinning with three tremendously talented DJs at the Off Beat in Highland Park. The night was dubbed The Atomic and featured the theme Disco vs. New Wave. Robert Risqué and Jose Shuton… The Premier New Wave/ Alternative DJs in Los Angeles have been packing the Off Beat for six years.

Of course, the “Rona” threw it off course but they’re back on track to pack the house once again… No one spins alternative/new wave better than Jose Shuton and Robert Risqué! And having DJ Rene C rock disco was a treat… Rene is a Fabulous DJ… great entertainer and projects incredible energy onto the dance floor… The place was packed and the eclectic crowd pulsated with energy in a very party party mood! The bartenders had more than they could handle that’s for sure… And we had DJ luminaries…! DJ Joaquin was in the house as well as Joseph Wham/Joseph Christopher and great friend… Gerry Meraz! Whether Disco or New Wave… The loud and boisterous crowd enjoyed every song and danced fervently throughout the night… And stayed till the end… Can’t wait to do it again… Thanks to Robert and Jose for the invitation to spin at their renowned event…
